01. Context and Inspiration
An Oasis of Luxury and Poetry, a Place Suspended Between Colonial Elegance and Modernity
Villa 9, located in Tianjin and part of the Villa Otto estate, is designed as the residence for the client’s parents, a place where elegance meets the poetry of space. The project draws inspiration from the timeless charm of the colonial period, reinterpreted with contemporary harmony. The interiors, characterized by rounded forms and meticulously crafted details, create sophisticated, welcoming, and highly charming atmospheres, where classicism and modernity merge seamlessly.

02. Interior Design and Materials
Refined Colonialism with Contemporary Details
The villa’s interior design preserves the allure of European colonial style through finely crafted boiseries with golden brass details, parquet floors with classic cuts, and window portals in Michelangelo Statuario marble, adding brightness and monumental elegance to the spaces. Light, soft tones expand the visual perception of the rooms and highlight every design detail.
Every material and stylistic choice balances classical rigor with contemporary language, creating an atmosphere that is elegant, harmonious, and discreetly luxurious.

03. Living, Dining, and Kitchen Areas
Convivial Spaces Between East and West
The living area and the two dining zones reflect Villa 9’s philosophy: understated luxury and functional comfort. In the dining kitchen, fine woods are paired with Italian leathers for the chair upholstery, while the choice of tables tells a story of cultural dialogue: one Western-style table and one “Lady Susan” table with an almost Eastern character. The wall-mounted kitchen, finely crafted, combines colonial rigor with contemporary solutions, while large French crystal elements illuminate both living and dining areas, enhancing the spaces’ sophistication.
Doors, inspired by the colonial period but reinterpreted in contemporary colors, complete the project, providing visual continuity and harmony throughout the interiors.
